Second Collection: Sea Sunday (10/07/22)

For all who sail the world to enable our safety and comfort. For families left behind that they may know stability and peace. For an appreciation of the food and produce which comes to us through seafarers, that we may never take their work for granted. Gift Aid Envelopes can be found in the Narthex.

 

Ordo and Yearbook Orders 2023

If you think you would like a copy of the 2023 Diocesan Ordo or Yearbook, please contact Claire in the parish office. She will be placing an order at the end of July. It has been decided that there will be no charge for the Year Books this year as the Curia will cover the costs. Ordos are priced as follows:

W.O.R.K Tea Party (22/07/22)

Knights of St. Columba Trip (24/08/22)

The Knights of St Columba are planning a trip to Falmouth for a Cruise on the Helford River, on the 24th August. Then on to Helston, where Fr. Paul Andrew will Celebrate Mass. Cost £27, more details later. Please contact Bob Trickey (01271 379757) for bookings.

Vocations to Priesthood - Day of Reflection (16/07/22)

Have you ever asked the question 'Is God calling me to Priesthood or to the Religious life ?'. This 'Day of Reflection' for men will be held on Saturday 16th July 2022 from 10:00 to 16:00 at Holy Trinity Church, Dorchester.  Under 18s are welcome to attend with parents’ permission. For further information and to register for the event, please contact Fr Jacek Kostuch on Jacek.Kostuch@prcdtr.org.uk  or speak to your Parish Priest by 11th July 2022 at the latest.  Arrangements can be made to collect you from Dorchester Station and returned after, if required. 

Catholic Children's Society Plymouth - Dates For Your Diary

  • 2022 Annual Appeal (27-28/8/22): The theme of our CCSP Annual Appeal this year is ‘Extend a Hand: Give Hope’.  Packs will be sent to all parishes soon and we hope that even more parishes will be able to support this year’s annual appeal as 30 parishes helped to raise over £17,000 in 2021

Helping Our Brothers and Sisters in Ukraine

As part of Caritas Internationalis, the global Caritas family, Caritas Plymouth has been asked to provide guidance to the parishes in our diocese about how we can donate to support those in crisis.

Altar Servers

We are in need of altar servers in order to ensure our liturgy is celebrated in proper and dignified way. If you would like to help with this ministry then please contact Fr. Peter. We are looking for both adults and children.

  • Junior Camp. 7th - 12th August. Grangehurst. School Years 3-6

  • Senior Camp. 31st July - 5th August. Grangehurst. School Years 7-10

  • St Petroc’s Camp/ 31st July - 5th August. St Rita’s, Honiton. School Years 11-12

Gift Aid Envelopes

Gift Aid envelopes are now available to pick up from the table in the Narthex. For those tax payers interested in registering as Gift Aiders, please speak to the parish office.

First Holy Communion

If you wish your child to make his/her First Holy Communion this year and haven't registered their name with the parish, please contact the office by email so we can send you the form. Contact information can be found on the front page.

Stamp appeal

Please bring any old stamps to the parish office. They are being collected by a parishioner to help raise money for North Devon Hospice.

Hospital Visits

If you are taken to hospital and would like a priest to visit, please contact the parish office or ask a member of the hospital staff to get in touch. Priests are allowed to visit patients while they are under hospital care but unless you inform us in some way, we have no way of knowing you are there.

Financial Support of the Parish

Parishioners who wish to contribute to the financial support of the parish can do so in the following ways:

  • Placing a donation in a collection basket when the church is open.

  • Posting cheques or money to the presbytery.

  • By Standing Order or BACS Transfer (please contact the parish office for details)
